SERVICES
Garden Design & Consultation

A well-designed garden begins with a clear vision and a deep understanding of the site—and that’s where every project starts.
With nearly 20 years of experience designing gardens in the Macedon Ranges and Melbourne, I offer personalised landscape design services that reflect your needs, lifestyle, and sense of place.

Whether you're planning a complete garden makeover or starting from a blank slate, I provide expert guidance at every step. The design process is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in both aesthetic principles and practical outcomes.
A personalised approach
Every garden and every client is different. I take the time to listen and observe, offering insights on layout, function, and flow to ensure the final design feels like a natural extension of your home and lifestyle. My goal is to design spaces that grow beautifully over time, are easy to care for, and reflect your personality.

-
Initial Site Visit & Consultation
The design journey begins with an on-site meeting where I assess your garden’s existing features, challenges, and potential. We discuss your ideas, aspirations, and practical requirements.
I’ll provide guidance on what’s possible and offer advice on plant and material choices.
If a design plan is required, I’ll provide a detailed fee proposal based on the scope of work.
Consultations are billed at $130 +GST per hour, with most visits taking around two hours.

-
Concept Development
Once engaged, I’ll return for a second visit to refine the design brief and complete a detailed site survey. From there, I develop a concept plan that outlines the design direction, spatial layout, and key features.

-
Detailed Planning
After reviewing the concept together, you’ll have time to consider feedback and changes. I’ll then create a detailed plan tailored to your garden’s conditions and your preferences, ready for quoting and construction.

This process ensures the design not only looks good on paper but also works in practice— functionally, horticulturally, and aesthetically.
What you can expect

Built to last
I believe good garden design is both an art and a science. It needs to respond to your environment, embrace local conditions, and plan for the future. My approach blends structure and softness, with careful plant selection and spatial planning that matures gracefully over time.
If you're ready to create a garden that's functional, beautiful, and entirely your own, I’d love to help bring it to life.
